Laayoune looks for more consultants to oversee its €4.6bn regional development programme

The Laayoune-Sakia el Hamra region needsmore consultants to help it implement thenumerous investment projects whichconstitute the huge regional developmentplan which is set to cost an estimatedDH49bn (€4,6bn).In a tender call issued on 13 January, theregion indicates that it is looking to delegatethe organisation, supervision andcoordination of construction work to aconsulting company via an initial ninemonthcontract. The contract, which isworth about €340,000, provides for theinstallation of a central management unit inLaâyoune, with branches in Tarfaya, Es-Samara and Boujdour, and the recruitmentof 13 people.
