OMV and Perenco sabotage charm offensive of new ETAP boss

It has been something of a public baptism of fire for the new boss of the state-owned oil company Entreprise tunisienne des activites petrolières (ETAP) Abdelwaheb Khammassi, who was appointed on 11 December 2020. Tasked with vaunting the merits of the Tunisian oil industry at the virtual Mediterranean Gas & Energy Week conference organised by the events management company IN-VR from 19 to 21 January, he was not given an easy ride by OMV (5,000 bpd) and Perenco (10,000 bpd), both of whom are active in Tunisia.
