President Uhuru Kenyatta is now keeping his closest State House collaborator, his private secretary and nephew, Jomo Gecaga, at arm's length. His decision to keep Gecaga away from presidential affairs comes after he received a report from the powerful head of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), Philip Kameru. With Gecaga posted at State House, Ruto was able to keep up to date with the president's schedule and his political strategy.
