Chemaf boss Shiraz Virji takes Trafigura to court to speed up financing of Mutoshi copper-cobalt mine

In early September, just a few hours after having lodged a complaint with the Lubumbashi commercial court against trading group Trafigura, Shiraz Virji, head of Congolese mining company Chemaf, withdrew it again. According to his representatives, Virji maintained his complaint just long enough to make Trafigura react and open the way for a resumption of talks on the financing of the Mutoshi project.
