Managem, the mining company owned by Mohammed VI's Al Mada holding company, chartered an aircraft from Royal Air Maroc to run two special flights on 22 and 23 July to bring back senior executives stuck in Sudan and Guinea because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The two countries are important locations for Managem: it has mined gold in Sudan since 2013 and plans to enlarge its Gabanga mine there, while in Guinea it is working to operationalise its Tri-K licence, obtained in 2019.
