France's Sogea-Satom and Chinese rivals snap up road contracts

In early July, the Agence de gestion des routes (AGR), the highway agency overseen by the Ministry for Economic Infrastructure, awarded five contracts aimed at easing road congestion on the access routes to Abidjan. At a cost of $111m, France's Sogea-Satom will be carrying out a programme of roadworks in the economic capital of Ivory coast, including the widening of the 19 km Dabou road to the west of Abidjan which connects the district of Yopougon to the commune of Songon.
