According to our sources, Hopushould appoint Chinese national Yu Liangas New Age’s new managing director. Yuhad been in charge of Nexen in Calgarysince it was bought by Cnooc in 2012.He will be filling the seat left by Frenchnational Pascal Nicodeme, who hasmoved to join Africa Oil ( AEI 847).Nicodeme had stepped in as the interimmanging director after David Stoopin’sdeparture. Stoopin himself had only heldthe position for two years. The future chairmanof the board at New Age is expectedto be former Cnooc chairman, Fu Chengyu.
