In view of this protection of high-value facilities from an aerial assault has always been, and still is, a tough challenge. Currently, the emphasis of the combat system has been shifted and the priority is placed on countermeasures against high-precision weapons. Their number exceeds the carrier fleet capacity by many times, they are stealthy and can be fired in a multiple-launch mode within a wide-range of altitudes and flight velocities.
