Oman signs ￡2·5bn Hawk and Typhoon deal

Oman has signed a long-awaited ￡2-5bn deal with BAE Systems to acquire Typhoon fighters and Hawk trainers. BAE is to supply 12 Eurofighter Typhoons and eight Hawk AJTs to the Sultanate, with delivery expected in 2017.
