Buccaneer repainted

Forty-one years after it saw action bombing the oil tanker Torrey Canyon, the Newark Air Museum's Blackburn Buccaneer S.1, XN964, was unveiled in its partly-completed new colour scheme at Winthorpe on March 13. The aircraft is being putrnback into the 801 Sqn RNAS colours it wore while bombing the stricken oil tanker off south Wales on March 28, 1967. XN964 celebrates two other anniversaries this year: it arrived at Newark 20 years ago, and it is 50 years since the first flight of the type.
