摘要

Here is a challenge for airliner buffs. Two uncaptioned and undated photographs of post-Second World War passenger cabins with very little in the way of clues unless you know your airliners inside-out. Both have five-abreast seating arrangements with offset aisles, and open overhead baggage compartments. In the portrait-format picture we are looking towards the rear, while the landscape-format shot was taken looking forwards, with the flight deck tantalisingly visible between the curtains.rnAs airliner passenger cabins were customised to the specifications of the purchasing airline, this might make the task of identification harder. On the other hand, of course, there might be some singular features that actually enable the carrier to be identified as well.
