At the woods and Lakes Airpark near Ocala in Florida, Fairchild restorer Charlie Bell had put 6hr flying time on his freshly-completed Fairchild 22C7D by the end of April, and has now put it up for sale.rnBell began restoration of the 90 h.p. Wright Gipsy-powered parasol monoplane, NC9479, in 1994. It had not flown since 1945, and Charlie faced major hurdles in obtaining the FAA airworthiness certificate for the 1933-built machine. The type had never been certified with the Wright Gipsy engine, so Charlie had to give the FAA "chapter and verse" on thernspecifications and loadings.
