L-1649 to fly in two years

In its purpose - built hangar at Lewiston-Auburn airport in Maine, USA, the rebuild of Lockheed L-1649 Super Star N7316C for the Lufthansa Historic Flight (LHF) is on schedule for a first flight in about two years' time. The structure has been de-corroded, the tail and wings are removed for rebuilding, and the Curtiss-Wright R-3350 engines, including two spares, have been overhauled.
