This month's contributor is Eddie Coates of Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. Eddie, who is now "pushing 80", took these photographs in his youth when he lived in Australia, from where he emigrated to the USA many years ago. ABOVE: The last of three Airspeed A.S.5V Ambassadors acquired by Butler Air Transport in 1987, Ambassador 2 VH-BUK (c 5227) was photographed at Essendon in March 1988. In November 1959, when Ansett forced Butler to divest itself of the "orphan" type, the trio were sold to Dan-Air Services Ltd and 'BUK reverted to its former BEA identity, G-AMAE.
