Construction of a new 250,000ft2 building to house part of the vast collection of aircraft belonging to the Yanks Air Museum was announced on December 31. The installation of utility lines and access roads for the first 35 acre phase of the development has already begun at a location at Greenfield, near Monterey in Northern California. The museum, which was founded by Charles Nichols back in in 1972, currently has 165 aircraft, some of which are on show in Yanks 150,600 ft~2 of hangar space at Chino Airport in Southern California.
