摘要

At Old Sarum Airfield, volunteers at the resident Boscombe Down Aviation Collection (BDAC) have finished the restoration of Hawker Hunter F.6A XF375 and completed it in the red and white colour scheme in which it operated with the Empire Test Pilots School (ETPS) in the early 1960s. The fighter - which was built by Armstrong Whitworth at Bitteswell as an F.6 and made its first flight on August 30,1955-was acquired by the BDAC in April 2007 from an owner at Spanhoe Lodge, Northamptonshire, and was moved to Old Sarum duringjune 2012 as part of BDAC's relocation. Disposed of by the RAF in October 1991 after nine years at RAF Cranwell as an instructional airframe it was sold to the Old Flying Machine Company at Duxford for a hoped for restoration to fly, and registered G-BUEZ in April 1992. Sadly, the plan never came to fruition.
