The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum at Hamilton, Ontario, got 2014 off to a great start with the acquisition of airworthy Noorduyn Norseman Mk VCF-GSR during January. The 64-year-old aeroplane had been operated for the past 17 years by Huron Air & Outfitters, a family-owned air charter business run by Ernie and Donna Nicholl from McKenzie Lake, in Armstrong Township, eastern Ontario. Built by the Canadian Car and Foundry at Fort William, Ontario, in 1950, it is thought that CF-GSR has been on floats for its entire life. A wheeled undercarriage will now be sought by the CWH.
