HRH The Duke of Edinburgh officially opened the new permanent First World War exhibition in the Grahame-White building at the Royal Air Force Museum London on 2 December. The exhibition at the Hendon site has been made possible with a grant of £898,558 from the Heritage Lottery Fund, further support coming from BAE Systems. Exhibits in the Grade Ⅱ-listed building include Sopwith Camel F1 F6314 and Fokker D.Ⅶ 8417/18, which have been moved from Hendon's Milestones of Flight building. Royal Aircraft Factory FE2b 'A6526', previously displayed in the Bomber Command Hall at Hendon, has been suspended from the ceiling. Memorabilia on show includes personal items relating to Victoria Cross recipients Maj Edward Corringham, 'Mick' Mannock, James McCudden and Manfred von Richthofen.
