In the second half of 1975, Air Niugini fitted out DC-3 P2-ANT - the former P2-SBO - with seats from a Fokker F27 Friendship and extra soundproofing as the 'Tour Liner', to be used on tourist charters around PNG. The 'Tour Liner' powers up its Pratt & Whitney R-1830s on departure from Gurney airstrip to Port Moresby on Christmas Eve 1976. It was the oldest DC-3 in the fleet.
