Construction of a replica Friedrichshafen FF49C two-seat floatplane is under way in the workshops of the Tekniske Museum in Helsingør, north of Copenhagen, with the fuselage frame, wing structure and replica floats now completed.Originally built in Germany as a naval reconnaissance machine for the Kaiserliche Marine and fitted with two 8mm machine guns in the rear, the type was also operated by the Royal Danish Navy and the Polish and Finnish air forces, a total of 240 being built at Friedrichshafen on the banks of Lake Constance.
