Spain's Sniace SA says it can now supply viscose fibre and pulp using a wholly chlorine-free whitening process.rnThe company is based in Madrid and describes itself as one of the main European players involved in these markets. Its chlorine-free whitening process was first used in 2007 at its production plant in Torrelavega, northern Spain.rnNow each year, Sniace uses the technology to produce 60 kt of its dissolved pulp (called Celltech) for sale around the world. Part of this pulp production is used in its own viscose plant, where Sniace makes 26 kt of staple fibre (Viscocel) a year.
