Woven fabric for base reinforcement and subgrade stabilization

A range of geosynthetics (RSi) for the reinforcement of roads and railways has been completed by the addition of a third, patent-pending, woven fabric (Mirafi RS280i), according to the developer,TenCate Geosynthetics of Pendergrass, Georgia, USA. TenCate says Mirafi RS280i's high modulus makes it good for reinforcement, and its high permittivity allows it to form an effective separation of the layers of soil/sand above and below, while acting as a good filter and drain.The fabric also interacts strongly with the soil, helping to distribute the loads evenly across its surface.
