German nonwovens producer to add new line for face-mask materials

Germany-based nonwovens producer Sandler isinvesting in a production line for the manufacture ofnonwovens for respirators in response to the humancoronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Production isscheduled to begin in the middle of the third quarterof 2020.The new line at the company’s headquarters site inSchwarzenbach/Saale will enable the production ofnonwovens for up to 800 million face masks a year.The investment is reported to be a single-digit millioneuro amount.
