New plant to make airlaid, thermobonded nonwovens

Carolina Nonwovens is to invest US$ 12.25 million to build a plant in Maiden, North Carolina, USA. The investment will create a new facility for the production and conversion of nonwovens. Scheduled to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2015, it will cover about 0.93 ha (100 000 square feet) on a 4.45-ha (11 -acre) site. The facility will also host logistical, engineering, quality control and product design activities, as well as office space.
