While the image processing markets have under-performed the overall market in 2000, the optimism created by digital video, computer vision and 3D computer graphics will continue through the next 18 months. The state of the image processing markets is undergoing several radical changes in that many of the applications are being transferred out of military only applications and converted to commercial usage.
