Offshore Outsourcing: Will curtailing offshore outsourcing be good for business?

If you do contract work for the federal government then you . know that the competition for federal work is intense; but it's lucrative work, if you can get it. Imagine competing against a business that can undercut your price and still make a higher profit than you will. Businesses are doing just that by sending work offshore to be done by foreign workers. Many of these firms are able to make a tidy little profit by winning federal A/E projects, including cartography work, for a certain price, then sending part of the contract work offshore to Asia or India, for example, where the same work done by U.S. workers can be done by foreign workers for a fraction of the cost of having the same work done here.
