Winner: Mitsubishi Electric Green Gateway Initiative

Winner of this year's Environmental Initiative went to Mitsubishi Electric for its Green Gateway Initiative, a continuous and building process which seeks to highlight ways in which the UK can achieve a reduction of more than 3 million tonnes of CO_2 per year by 2016. The Initiative, which has two central aims: 1. To demonstrate the role that modern heating and cooling properly specified, controlled and maintained can and should play in reducing energy consumption.
