摘要

The paper discussed contains a number of issues of concern that are significant enough to warrant comment. The aim of this discussion is to assist the authors in refining their understanding of the current state of knowledge of geopolymer science with the hope that it will lead to future high-quality publications from their research program. The discussers also aim to highlight the general misunderstanding about some of these issues that exists in publications by other authors, and hence in the wider and rapidly growing geopolymer research community. The claim of a fully-reacted material, the interpretation of atomic ordering, the proposed molecular structure, the interpretation of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and other data, as well as the flaws inherent in widely used geopolymer nomenclature, will be analyzed in detail in the following.
