A long-hours culture is traditionally associated with the accountancy profession. But could the tide be turning? Glancing through the papers reveals something of a national preoccupation with working hours. Survey upon survey points to the pitfalls and dangers of a long-hours culture - from stress-induced ill health to rising divorce rates and a predicted mass exodus of burnt-out employees from their jobs this year.
