VAT guidance improvement work

Revenue & Customs has announced a programme to improve the VAT guidance provided on its website. This will involve improving navigation, and de-cluttering the VAT web pages to remove out of date content and to emphasise the content which users find most popular. To the extent that this'makeover'assists in removing material which is so out of date as actually to be contradicted by other material on the site, it would be welcome. It is very unfortunate when a taxpayer accesses and relies on information from an official source, only to find that in effect it is contradicted elsewhere.
