GT slams Refco action

Grant Thornton in the US has lashed out after being named in a lawsuit brought by creditors of Refco, a finance company it once audited. It said: 'This suit brought against almost all of its [Refco's] former advisers is merely an attempt to avoid the consequences of its own actions and seek both scapegoats and deep pockets.'
