Hargreaves Lansdown appoints new FD

Martin Mulligan, group finance director at asset managers Hargreaves Lansdown, is stepping down at the end of the year to 'pursue new challenges'. He will be replaced by Tracey Taylor, currently group accounting director and company secretary. Mulligan, 38, an FCA, joined Hargreaves Lansdown in 1996. He joined the board of Hargreaves Lansdown Asset Management in 2000 and the main board in 2001. Taylor, 37, an FCCA, joined Hargreaves Lansdown in 1999 from Lloyds TSB. Before that, she worked and trained in public practice where she qualified as an accountant in 1992. Taylor was made group accounting director in 2006. Chairman Stephen Lansdown said: 'It is always sad when a long-serving employee leaves the company but the board appreciates that after seeing the group through a successful flotation in May 2007, and its first full year as a public company, that this is possibly the right time for Martin to make this decision.'
