Sage is bucking the trend among software suppliers. It recently announced half-yearly pretax profits up 13% to ￡122.6m and a sales increase of 9%. 'Our businesses continue to show resilience in uncertain and challenging markets,' said Paul Walker, chief executive. Approximately 60% of Sage revenues are generated by renewed contracts.
