Stacey Cartwright, the chief financial officer for luxury fashion brand Burberry, has boosted the ranks of female finance directors in the FTSE 100 to four, after the retail group replaced Thomson Reuters on the index early last month.rnCartwright, who started her career with Price Waterhouse, and joined Burberry in 2004, told Accountancy: 'We have made great strides in re-platforming the business but there is still so much more to do.' Cartwright will join female FDs Julia Wilson at 3i,rnJann Brown at Cairn Energy and Evelyn Bourke at Friends Provident.rnIt is a welcome move for the global luxury brand that started 2009 with the announcement of up to 290 UK job cuts to cope with struggling sales. In January Cartwright said capital spending for the group would halve to around £45m in its 2010 financial year.
