FIRM QUITS FORUM AS GLOBAL NETWORKS INCOME SOARS

Baker Tilly International is set to leave the Forum of Firms, an organisation representing more than 20 of the world's global accountancy networks.rnBacked by the International Federation of Accountants, the forum promotes quality control standards and is open to networks that carry out transnational audits.rnBaker Tilly, which is ranked 11th in Accountancy's global networks league table with a fee income of nearly $3bn (£1.9bn), said the decision to leave the forum had not been taken lightly.rnGeoff Barnes, Baker Tilly's chief executive, said: 'Evaluating the benefits to the network of being a member of the Forum of Firms, we feel that there is no longer a solid business case for Baker Tilly International to continue its membership.'
