The ICAEW's Narrowing the Gap initiative is to host a seminar aimed at helping career breakers and those who have lost their jobs through the recession. Narrowing the Gap was launched two years ago to help career breakers, including those taking time out to have children, return to the workplace. However, with current tighter economic conditions, more people, both men and women, are taking the opportunity for some time out. Conversely, economic necessity can also force those on career breaks to seek a return to work. The event, to be held at Chartered Accountants' Hall, aims to break down emotional barriers about returning to work and provide tips and updates to ensure a smooth transition back to the workplace.
