Banking collapses, the credit crunch, increased risk of customer and supplier failure, currency volatility: treasury and risk management has never been more important or more complex. Recent economic conditions have been challenging for almost everybody, in one way or another, but they have been particularly demanding for corporate treasurers. Businesses of all shapes and sizes have been striving to improve their cashflow management and gain greater visibility of their liquidity, but this is especially difficult for private and public sector entities that are large enough, or complex enough, to have a formal treasury function.
