BDO CENSURED BY FSA OVER SHORE CAPITAL DEAL

The Financial Services Authority has censured mid-tier firm BDO for failures in its role as sponsor of a UK-listed company. The move was the first public censure of a sponsor by the financial regulator.BDO was criticised over the advice given to Shore Capital in 2009 relating to a proposed merger with German property group, Puma Brandenburg.
