The ACA changed my life,' says Andy Cheng, CFO of Ganghai (Tianjin) Construction Co, a fast-growing business specialising in port infrastructure.Cheng gained his ACA qualification in 2008, one of the first Chinese CPAs to complete the two years of study and examinations. He was then an auditor for accountancy firm Jiangsu Suya Jincheng in Nanjing, which supported his ACA studies by paying for half the tuition costs. Cheng borrowed from a relative to cover the other half, being already financially stretched with a mortgage and young family.
