ICAEW CEO Michael Izza has warned that decisions taken over the next 12 to 18 months could fundamentally reshape the profession as we know it today.At the institute's agm last month, he told members: The global crisis has sparked some very serious rethinking about what our financial system should look like, and what the role of chartered accountants and auditor should be.'Issues under the spotlight include adoption of IFRS, regulation and tax which will shape the UK's future as a competitive place to do business, corporate governance and, of course, audit.
