Connect, to match HMRC and third-party data, remotely identifying previously unseen relationships and anomalies such as bank interest, property income and lifestyle indicators.HMRC has said it will consult with interested parties before launching the initiative later this year.It is also planning to launch a series of tax evasion campaigns focusing on specific areas, including private tuition, and online marketplaces and trades, similar in approach to the recent plumbers' campaign.
