IASB LAUNCHES SME GROUP

A consultation process by a working group within the International Accounting Standards Board has started with the publication of draft guidance on International Financial Reporting Standards for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The SME Implementation Group is responsible for advising the IASB on issues relating to the implementation of IFRS for SMEs, and for developing non-mandatory guidance on specific accounting questions.
