While everyone seems to be getting upset about bankers' bonuses, news has emerged of a bumper pay-out for accountants. Christmas would have been good for many in the profession, as accountants were set to share a combined bonus pot of ￡ 13bn for 2010, according to recruiter Ambition. Its research showed that on average, UK accountants expected to receive 8.7% of their base salary as a bonus. Meanwhile, a poll of 500 businesses revealed that finance professionals were more likely to receive 10.8% of their base salary as a bonus for Christmas.
