ADVISORY FUEL RATES FOR BUSINESS DRIVERS

HMRC has published the quarterly update to advisory fuel rates. These are the rates that it will accept without question as reimbursing the fuel costs of business journeys in employer-provided cars. The rates took effect from 1 September, with a month's window to 1 October for employers to implement them. The only change is to the liquefied petroleum gas rates, all of which have been reduced.
