EU TO PUSH FOR WIDER CLARITY ISA ADOPTION

The European Commission is to push for more consistent adoption of international standards in auditing to reduce changes made to International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) at a national level. The move follows a meeting of the EC and European audit professionals. A review will be conducted into the extent of the adoption of clarified ISAs across member states and the degree to which they had been altered through carve-outs and add-ons.
