The Close Brothers Business Barometer, which tracks the views of small and medium-sized businesses throughout the UK, often reveals interesting and valuable insights into sector trends and how the wider economy is performing. But I was surprised to learn from the latest figures that one in five financial directors polled has never heard of invoice finance, especially given the huge strides the industry has made in the last decade to provide viable funding to businesses.
