The Pensions Regulator's latest quarterly report shows that it is pursuing those who fail to meet their auto enrolment obligations. In the quarter to 31 March 2015 it issued 198 fixed penalty notices of £400 and four employers had received an escalating penalty of between £50 and £10,000 per day for failure to comply with a statutory notice. As many more employers reach their staging date this year, these numbers can only increase.
