REGULATION OF SHARE DEALINGS UPDATED

Under the EU Market Abuse Regulation, the regime to regulate share dealings by directors and senior employees (known as 'persons discharging managerial responsibilities' or PDMRs) will come into force with effect 3 July. As a result, the Model Code will be deleted from the Listing Rules and instead all listed companies will have to have in place 'effective systems and controls' regarding the process for PDMRs to obtain clearance to deal. The AIM rules will be amended to require AIM companies to have a dealing policy setting out the requirements and procedures for dealings by their PDMRs.
