REAL-TIME PAYE CODES FOR 2017/18

HMRC is now using real time information to make automatic adjustments to PAYE tax codes, offering more certainty to employees and hopefully ensuring that they pay the right amount of tax throughout the year. However, nothing much else changes for employers, who will continue to receive copy notices of coding as and when they are issued. Employers should ensure that they always operate PAYE based on the most recent notice of coding.
