After a spate of senior resignations, Finance Mole heads to Italy to eye up an acquisition but runs into trouble when he loses his mobile and hits Brexit woes. Despite the traditional late summer lull, times were exciting. In not wholly unexpected news my boss, the CFO in New York had resigned. Her announcement had been slightly spoilt by the HR Director announcing that she was resigning the day before, which is a bit like someone announcing they are pregnant at someone else’s wedding. But it was a lot of resigning whichever way you looked at it.
